Most HolyApps work fully offline — all content is bundled with the app. A few use the internet: Hello World Travel Kit connects only to refresh live currency exchange rates (cached on your device, so outlets, voltage, and visa information keep working offline); 40 / 40百科 sends your spoken question to our service to generate a spoken answer; and Hello: Free NYC fetches nearby places and events live from public NYC open data, so it needs a connection.
It compares your home country's plugs and voltage against your destination. If the plug you carry fits a socket there, no adapter is needed. If the voltage differs, single-voltage gear (like hair tools) may need a converter, while dual-voltage chargers — most phones and laptops — only need a plug adapter.
Exchange rates are fetched live from a public rate provider and update regularly. Outlet, currency, and visa details are curated references to help you plan — always confirm visa and entry requirements with the official government source linked in the app before you travel.
Tap the big microphone button and ask a question out loud — for example "美國最大的湖是哪一個?" or "金字塔是怎麼蓋的?". 40 listens, then reads the answer back to you and shows it in large text. Tap 再聽一次 to hear it again, and 歷史記錄 to revisit past questions.
40's answers are generated by AI and grounded in public reference sources such as Wikipedia. We work hard to keep them accurate and easy to understand, but AI can occasionally be wrong — for anything important, please double-check with an authoritative source.
Your speech is turned into text using your device's speech recognition; only the text of your question is sent to our service — we never record or upload audio. Your questions and answers are saved (under a random, anonymous identifier, not your name or account) so you can revisit them in 歷史記錄. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Uninstalling the app removes the history stored on your device. To delete the question history stored on our service under your device's anonymous identifier, email us at [email protected].
You partner with one computer player against two others. Rotate your device to landscape, tap a card (or a valid combination) to play it, and follow suit when you can. The game runs fully offline with no ads and no login — close it any time and tap 继续游戏 on the home screen to resume your last game.
You play against three computer opponents. Rotate your device to landscape. Whoever holds the 3 of clubs (♣3) leads the round; on your turn, tap a single card, a pair, or a five-card poker hand (straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, or straight flush), then confirm to play it — or pass if you can't or don't want to beat the current play. The first player to empty their hand wins the round. It runs fully offline with no ads and no login, and auto-saves so you can resume from the home screen any time. The app follows your device language (Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or English).
You play against three computer opponents. Each player is dealt 13 cards and arranges them into three hands: a 3-card front (頭墩), a 5-card middle (中墩), and a 5-card back (尾墩). The back must be stronger than the middle, and the middle stronger than the front — if you misorder them it's a foul (倒水). Tap a card, then a row, to place it (tap a placed card to take it back), then tap 亮牌 to lock it in. All four hands reveal at once and are compared pile by pile: win a row against a player to score, sweep all three rows for a 打槍 (double), and sweep everyone for a 全壘打. Win chips to climb the ranks from 菜鳥 to 賭神. The chips are an on-device score only, with no real-world value. It runs fully offline with no ads and no login, in Traditional Chinese.
You play traditional 16-tile Taiwanese mahjong against three computer opponents. Rotate your device to landscape. Draw and discard to build five sets plus a pair; on a discard you can 吃 (chow), 碰 (pong), 槓 (kong), or 胡 (win) when the buttons appear, and flick a tile up to throw it out. Pick from three difficulty rooms — 巷口棋室 (easy), 茶樓雅座 (medium), or 天聽至尊廳 (hard) — and scoring uses the standard 底/台 count. The chips are an on-device score only, with no real-world value and no purchases. It plays offline with no ads and no login, auto-saves so you can resume any time, and uses big tiles and a slow pace for comfortable reading, in Traditional Chinese.
Hello: Free NYC helps you find free things to do around you in New York City right now — nearby parks, today's events, landmarks, and neighborhood facts, plus World Cup happenings like watch parties and fan events. Everything is drawn from live public NYC Open Data and Wikipedia. Open the app and pick "I have 30 minutes," "I have 2 hours," or "Surprise me," or browse the Today, Nearby, and Discover tabs.
It works best with location so it can show what's nearby and how far away it is, but location is optional — you can set your area manually and browse any neighborhood. When you allow location, the app uses it only while you're using the app, and only to answer "what's near me." We don't store location history or use it to track you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The app is built on New York City's public open-data feeds, so today it covers the five boroughs. More cities may follow.
Bookmarks, highlights, and reading progress are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, this data will be lost. We recommend keeping the app installed to preserve your data.
Catholic Companion uses the Douay-Rheims translation, a trusted English translation of the Catholic Bible containing all 73 books, including the 7 deuterocanonical books. KJV Bible - Daily Devotional uses the King James Version, with all 66 books, 1,189 chapters, and 31,102 verses of the standard canon — bundled with the app, so it works fully offline.
Open the Plans tab and pick a plan — Bible in a Year, New Testament in 90 Days, Gospels in 30 Days, or Psalms & Proverbs in 60 Days. Each day lists the chapters to read; tap a chapter to read it, then mark the day done. Your progress is saved on your device, and the Today tab shows your current day and streak.
Go to Settings within the app and tap "Prayer Reminders" (called "Daily Verse Reminders" in KJV Bible). You can choose the time of day you'd like to be reminded. Notifications are handled entirely on your device — no data is sent anywhere.
We never ask for an account or personal identity, and there are no analytics, tracking, or ads in any app. Most apps keep everything on your device. 40 (40百科) sends the text of your spoken question to our service to generate an answer, using only a random, anonymous identifier — never your name or account. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, please email us at [email protected] with a description of the problem and your device model.
